A Broken Vessel

Blessed are those who are broken because they can experience the hand of God remaking them. This requires a surrender to the hands of God.
When a bowl that has been broken and the seams filled with gold. The vessel once repaired becomes more valuable than it was before.
Just because we have been broken does not mean that we cannot be remade.
The enemy isn't just after your joy, peace and your purpose. He's after your mind. If he can control how you think then he is controlling how you live.
Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
When we allow his word to rewrite what we say and what we think those cracks that seemingly were unpreparable can be filled in and we can be made new.
Psalm 34:18-22 "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit."
Some the most powerful stories we read in the Bible came from people that were the most broken. So there is hope for all of us as we get personal with God and give him our pieces he can remake us better than we were before.

How has your view of brokenness changed? My view of brokenness has changed by understanding a few things. One, it is ok to be broken because then God can repair us. Secondly, our being broken and allowing God to fix us can minister to other people.

At one time in my life I would of told everyone that every thing is good because I used to think it was a weakness and as a young guy you didn't want to sound weak. But that's when I was younger and unaware and didn't have God in my life. How Has your view of brokeness changed? When I thought of being broken before it was always in a negative way--I'm not usable anymore. However, after this message I see how God filling in the missing pieces; He getting involved in the fixing , repair, and restoring of a broken life makes that life (me or someone else) more beautiful and even more valuable as now we have a testimony of the goodness of God and that NOBODY is so broken that God cannot fix them if they allow Him to.

How Has your view of brokenness changed? I now see that be broken and allowing God to remake me, will make me more valuable in the kingdom of God.

I hope that my story of going from someone who wanted nothing to do with Christians and being broken of that and the life style that was part of that, and going to a servant that is behind the pulpit every service (which I said I would never do) will bring hope to others that don't believe in Jesus.
