God Has a Feeder Program

Updated: Jun 24

A "feeder" is one who supplies, connects, nourishes, and strengthens others

Many people are familiar with assistance programs that provide food, resources, and support to those in need. But God has a program of His own. It is not merely a program where we receive from Him—it is a program where He transforms us into distributors of what we have received. God's Feeder Program is His plan to take people who have been fed by His Word and truth and turn them into people who feed others.

The men received bird feeders as a gift but also symbolizing how God's Feeder Program works. Just as a bird feeder is not there to consume the seed but to distribute it, so it goes with us. We consume His Word that we would become distributors of the Word and supply, connect, nourish and strengthen others.

Just as birds flock to a place where food is available and keep returning because they trust there will always be nourishment, others will consistently return to those who offer the substance that comes from Truth ~the Word. That is God's plan! God feeds us so we can feed others!

When Jesus restored Peter, He did not say, "Enjoy being fed." He said, "Feed my lambs." (John 21:15) "Take care of my sheep." (John 21:16)"Feed my sheep." (John 21:17)

The purpose of receiving from God is not accumulation but distribution.

Many people measure maturity by what we know. God measures maturity by what we do with what we know. The bird feeder never fulfills its purpose by holding onto the seed.

It fulfills its purpose when it releases what has been placed inside of it. So it goes with us.

God's ultimate goal is multiplication. God never intended us to be dead ends—He intended us to be feeders. When a church embraces God's Feeder Program, ministry no longer belongs to a few people at the front. Every believer becomes a source of nourishment.

Thank you for taking the time to discuss:

  1. How are you nourishing others?

  2. How has or how will that nourishment lead people to BAM's feeder program?

  3. What has changed in your life because of this message?

  1. How are you nourishing others?

This week we had a lot of moms and little kids come to the berry patch and I found myself connecting with the children and when they would get a little hot or tired and quote done picking berries I'd offer them rides on the golf cart and connect with them and they would just tell me all kinds of things.  I treated them for a few minutes like they were the only person in the world and they just were so excited to connect and have my attention.   One little girl was just following me around and so I decided I guess we're picking berries together and so her and she would be…

Loved your post Ps. Aaron!!! Indeed, people need to know they matter, even children need to know they matter. Well done! I know that you "minister" to people's children and they see it, you have ministered to the parents.

Thank you for being committed to serving God and your Church! I have no doubt that you were made for the stage! The stage that allows and gives you opportunity to talk about just that.... how your life was molded from your commitment to God and serving His Church and ultimately leading them to God's Feeder Program.

Woot, woot!!! no dead ends here, just smooth riding!!

As Rev Ryan shared, this message was encouraging, corrective, and motivating. Great message Rev Connie!

How are you nourishing others?

In my studio I am presented with many opportunities to connect with others, always encouraging them, and so much more!

I ask the Lord to lead and guide me each day, asking the Holy Spirit to come into my studio with me and work through me, showing me what someone needs to hear…

And a few days ago the Lord opened up the door, on two different occasions with clients. As I was chatting with one of my Christian clients, I discerned that she wasn’t very familiar with having relationship with Jesus, and our chat led right into my sharing. A…

Amen Christine! A feeder is one who supplies, connects, nourishes, and strengthens others. I know you have many opportunities to connect with people and that you use that connection to be a feeder of faith, feeder of truth, a feeder of encouragement and hope!

Thank you for being a part of what is known as a "healthy" church, one that is measured by how many feeders it produces. Credible Women is a way to "feed" women bringing them closer to a 1st time guest to disciples! I am fully persuaded that people will come because they see our fruit, as in us individually, and ultimately want to stay for discipleship.

Right on! No dead ends here, only feeders. The Kingdom…

Thank you Rev Connie for a great message that made me think about and try new tactics.

How are you nourishing others.

To be honest I haven't been doing a good job on that. I get in my own Head to wear it feels ocward were you want to say something but for what ever reason I block it and change the subject . Or I will get I already go to a church then I'm like that's great and it is but where do you go from there. . But what I am feeling lately maybe it's a oprtunity to talk about church like how was the message and tell them about mine bring up my experience tell them…

That's right John! As you "Let this word become life i your life" you will become the feeder who supplies, connects, nourishes, and strengthens others. It's that transparency that will draw them and allow you to become part of God's Feed Program leading people through the process of 1st time guests to disciples.

Thank you for recognizing that you have blocked opportunities by changing the subject. It is the first step in modifying behavior to line up with God's instruction of becoming a feeder. Kudos to you for solving the obstacle of "I already go to Church." I like your solution. Follow through with those two things alone and you will be the one brining your neighbors to Church!

Thanks…

What a message! You didn't teach this message, you prophesied it, which is exactly what we needed! Thank you, Rev. Connie, for a great message.

How are you nourishing others? One of the main ways I have been nourishing others for a while now is with encouragement and hope. I find that many people I come in contact with day after day, are simply discouraged by life and they come to me to get what they need to get some hope again. There are times that I feed correction as well, yet one man in particular that God will use me to bring this to at times, always tells me that he can take it from me because he knows…

Yes, Elder Christy! People are starved for hope and encouragement, faith and Truth!

Because I have known absolutely NOTHING about bird seed in the past, and since this message I have been exposing myself to the concept of it, I realize that much of the time certain seeds feed a variety of birds. The lost too are starved for hope, encouragement, faith and Truth. I believe it can certainly start there.

Thank you for following up on the gentleman you spoke of. He was a 1st time guest! It won't be long, when it is God's timing, He will present an opportunity through you to get connected for the sake of his nourishment. His biggest obstacle is over (1st time…
