God's Presence/ God's Glory

Have you ever heard the words God's Presence or God's Glory? Or you heard people just saying the word Glory? Then you asked yourself what does those words mean.
Well, as we learned in Exodus 33:14-23 those words have great meaning. Moses, after spending 40ish days with God, getting a download on guidelines how to live in God's Kingdom, anointing priests and those for workmanship, and being handed the Tablets of Testimonies hand written by God, and still... Moses asked and double checked to make sure God's Presence is going to go with him and the Israelites (not just himself) on their journey. Then, he asked to see God's glory. Two different things.
God responded to Moses's ask because Moses found favor in God's sight. God covered Moses with His hand (protection) as He went by Moses and let Moses get a glimpse of God's tangible self. Much deeper than just His presence being Omnipresence.
What is God's Presence and God's Glory?
God's Presence - being near, Omnipresence, He dwells on the inside of believers through the Holy Spirit, and He manifests through a specific and powerful revelation or experience.
In God's Presence we feel comfort and security, joy and delight, guidance and wisdom.
God's Glory - It is understood as a TANGIBLE, manifested presence rather than just an abstract concept, often explained as a "heavyweight" or Devine atmosphere that transforms, heals, and empowers.
The physical experience is sometimes a feel, see, or sense His glory, which include physical sensations or dramatic changes in the atmosphere.
The Transformation and power from His Glory: The presence acts in tangible ways, such as healing sickness, breaking addictions, and solving impossible problems.
God's Glory is like adding salt to our eggs. As long as salt stays in the shaker our eggs aren't changed, the presence of salt is there on the table which is comforting knowing it is there. However, it takes an act, a tangible action for the salt to get on the eggs. (God's Glory being applied to our lives) Once the salt touches the eggs, it is tangible, the eggs are changed forever. The same goes for us, once God's Glory touches our lives, we are changed forever, it should be a tangible change, weightiness, healing, breaking addictions, or solving an impossible problem.

Through all of this, lets not forget about Bishop's, "Exploring the Glory" emails. If we as a people of God can grab ahold of the importance of God's Presence, and God's Glory and apply them to our daily life, we will be a changed group of people.
You can email Bishop at bishop@bami.org and ask for the Exploring the Glory email series.

What stood out to you about God’s Presence? What stands out most about God’s Presence is the idea of nearness and relationship. It is not just that God exists everywhere, but that He chooses to dwell with and within believers through the Holy Spirit. God’s Presence is described as something that brings comfort, security, wisdom, and peace, almost like a steady companionship rather than a one-time event. Moses asking God to confirm that His Presence would go with them shows how essential that closeness is.
What stood out to you about God’s Glory? God’s Glory stands out because it is tangible and transformative. While God’s Presence is constant, His Glory something that can be experienced in a powerful and noticeable way. The imagery…
What Stood out to you about God's Presence?
God's presence is really always there but without us actively focused upon seeing it recognizing it or feeling it we will miss it so instead of well thinking maybe just God isn't here right now we have to recognize that it's I'm not in a position to recognize him right now and I can change that at any moment that's good news I can't save myself but I can choose to want him I can choose to desire him more than other things and then there's an immediate response.

Great Message Pastor Riley! So timely and the answer we all needed whether we knew it or not!
What Stood out to you about God's Presence? God's Presence is with us where ever we go as He dwells in us by His Holy Spirit (if we are a born again believer) and when we stand in His Presence we are then in a position to be used by Him. We can get away from His Presence when we do not want to obey Him. Any time we feel far from God, we can pretty much trace it back to when we started to disobey and did not repent. Our disobedience is like fleeing from His Presence (like Jonah did). I…
Thank you Pastor Riley for pushing through your week and delivering us this Word.
What Stood out to you about God's Presence?
God's presence causes us to be separate from others.
What stood out to you about God's Glory?
We have to want it in order to break the chains that bind us but others. His presence is within but the Glory is what causes "a tangible change, weightiness, healing, breaking addictions, or solving an impossible problem" in our life but those we are witnessing/praying for!
These verses kept coming to me throughout this message and I believe the time is now for us to be a result of Jesus' prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane:
