HONEY IN THE ROCK

In life we may find ourselves "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" But God Promises us Honey in That Rock.

Psalm 81:7 Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.8 Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;9 There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.10 I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

11 But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.12 So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.13 Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!14 I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.15 The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.16 He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION:

1.      What stood out to you about the time and effort that goes into producing honey?

2.      How does the sting of judgment produce honey?

3.      Why is the Word sweeter than honey and more precious than gold?

4.      What rock did you have to get honey out of, and what was the honey?

5.      What was your greatest aha moment in the message?

Looking forward to our discussion

What stood out to you about the time and effort that goes into producing Honey?

How the bees work together as a team al the way down from the Queen to the males and females bees they are all working together to produce the honey just like "BAM" we have A group lead by Bishop that teaches the true Bible not a water down version and through the church and God we are inpowerd to go out in our cities and produce honey from the rock's in people's lives

How does the sting of judgement produce honey?

God gave us rules to obey and to serve I think when we think of judging people it's a disrespect but it's actually…

What stood out to you about the time and effort that goes into producing honey?I don’t think that you said it directly, but the fact that one honeybee only produces a tiny bit of honey by itself. But joined together, the multitude of bees fulfill a substantial purpose. God did not mean for things to be done alone.

How does the sting of judgment produce honey?

Sometimes you have to go through the “ouch” to realize that there is a better form of sweetness that was intended.

Why is the Word sweeter than honey and more precious than gold?

Just like it says earlier in Chapter 19 of Psalms because His Word, these “instructions are perfect, reviving…

What stood out to you about the time and effort that goes into producing honey?

The part that stood out to me was how hard that they work, and in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't produce a whole lot, however, they fulfilled all that God designed them to do. Another aspect is, they might of only made 1 tsp, but how much of an impact did it make on so many other things. Flowers blossomed, fruit generated, a person fed, etc... It might take some hard work for us to get some honey from a rock and it might not look like much, but how much of an impact that we make in so many areas of people'…

Pastor Riley, I love your post!! Rev Ryan and Bishop already brought out your response to the first question and that really stood out to me as well; what a well thought out response!! I love that you brought out the bigger picture of impact that is made and that the work it takes for a bee is what they were designed to do. When we do what we are truly designed by God to do, my, my, how much greater impact we will have on the world around us, likely in ways we do not even realize.

1. What stood out to you about the time and effort that goes into producing honey? God never said it wouldn't be work hence why he built in rest days.

Honey requires work they're called worker piece for a reason.

Digging into the word of God requires some work but it is a reward that cannot be copied by anything else.

2.  How does the sting of judgment produce honey?

When we are able to see things that don't line up with the word of God that's when the word of God becomes powerful to change our life.

3.  Why is the Word sweeter than honey and more precious than gold?

Honey is some pretty good stuff all the way…

Hi Pastor Aaron, Great Post. I love your statement about the sting of judgment: "When we are able to see things that don't line up with the word of God that's when the word of God becomes powerful to change our life.
