More Than A Conqueror - Destroying Your Hamster Wheel Life (The Silent Spinner)

We as Christians are designed to mature and become conquerors rather than being conquered. Our heart condition towards God and our application of His Word into our lives will reveal to us if we will be victorious or stuck in a hamster wheel, aka The Silent Spinner, and continue to just run in place without going anywhere or we will allow the Promises of God to cause us to a be more than a conqueror, Romans 8:35 - 37, over situations we face in our life. The Silent Spinner pictured below was the prop I used during my message. The spiritual Silent Spinner was designed by satan to keep us running round and round without us really knowing we are on a wheel. This wheel is silent in our lives and we must have spiritual eyes and ears to see and hear it in our life. God can destroy this wheel through us in our lives and cause us to be more than a conqueror!

Mark 4: 3-20 is a parable we all must understand if we are going to understand other parables Jesus spoke. This parable should cause us to see with spiritual eyes what areas of our life we are living in a hamster wheel and finally answering the question "Why hasn't the Word of God become life in our life?" This message should come with the revelation, "I now understand why I have not been victorious in areas of my life and I am going to do something about it"

Here is quick synopsis of the heart conditions:

1) Wayside heart - No application of the message. Came to church but gained knowledge but no creasing of the heart which would the Word of God to produce life in your life. Came to the altar but did not get changed. No victory and no change. Satan stole the life giving message. Hamster wheel continues.

2) Stony Ground - Got excited for the message but the moment faith gets tested or non-believers come against you, you are offended and the word dies in you. No victory for you in the area of the message you just heard. Hamster wheel continues.

3) Thorns - Your mass of self and wanting to be somebody in the world and obtain worldly possession stops the word from producing fruit. It stays in your head but never moves to your heart. No victory in the Kingdom of God but may increase in the world. Lose your place in kingdom but you think you have power but are

powerless. No victory in your life. Hamster wheel continues.

4) Good Ground - They let the Word Become Life in their life to conquer the storms of life through their relationship with God and their complete trust in one or some of the 8,613 promises of God because they are doing them. They built their house on a rock not in a hamster wheel.

Not only did God let us know why we are in the hamster wheel with no harvest or living as a conqueror with a harvest, He then asked us the question: Where do you live, Luke 6:47-49: Hamster Wheel Circle or Upon A Rock Drive? Where and how we live after we hear the messages from the pulpit at BAM will also reveal if we are inside the hamster wheel or not.

There were areas in our life God revealed that He wanted His Church to get out of the hamster wheel beginning Sunday.

1) Godly provision and worrying about tomorrow? Exodus 16-25-36.

2) Our thought life which focuses on stress, anxiety, fear Matthew 6:25-34.

3)Torment - What keeps throwing you into a fire to destroy (render you useless) you from your place in the kingdom, Mark 9:20-27?

4) Where are you bleeding out spiritually that has caused you to waste all that you have, Mark 5:25-34?

The answer is we no longer have to live in this hamster wheel if we just come to Him and allow Him to destroy the hamster wheel in our life. Our part is we have to see it and no longer want it. We can apply the powerful Word of God against it. become a conqueror, and call upon His Name to destroy it. He wants to give us a surpassing victory, which is part of the definition of conqueror in Romans 8:37, and live victoriously daily.

Questions to discuss this week:

1) What is your hamster wheel that keeps you from being a conqueror?

2) What heart condition has kept you from getting out of the hamster wheel?

3) Describe an area of your life that you are living upon a rock and what evidence do you have of living on Upon A Rock Drive.

4) What were some aha nuggets from this message that is causing the hamster wheel life being destroyed in your life?

More Than A Conqueror,

Rev. Ryan
