REDEDICATED TO THE LIGHT

In John 10, we find Jesus in Jerusalem for a feast that many Christians know little about: Jesus is no longer just a baby in a manger. He is the risen Christ.
John 10:22 Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple.
We can learn powerful truths from it—because Jesus Himself was in the Temple during this feast and made one of His boldest declarations there.
John 8:9 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
To Demonstrate It, He Healed A Blind Man
John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
In the book of Maccabees, we learn of the story of the Seleucid Greek ruler Antiochus Epiphanes around 167 BC, after conquering Egypt he invaded the temple of God and Stopped daily sacrifices, Banned Scripture and circumcision, Slaughtered a pig on the altar, Desecrated the Holy Place, Forbid the Feasts of the Lord and the Sabbath, and Attempted to erase Israel’s worship.
He defiled the temple and took away the Altar – Worship; took away the Candlestick – Word, took away the Table – Prophetic, took away Altar calls and Anointing – Healing and deliverance, and took away the Tithe and Offerings - Prosperity
It was a time when darkness tried to extinguish Israel’s faith.
However, a family of priests from the tribe of Levi, the Maccabees, refuse to bow and compromise, regardless of the benefit of the bribe. They refused the bribe, fought, prayed, and sacrificed to restore God's house.
Thus, the Feast of Dedication was established, and we celebrate it each year.
Hanukkah is not just a historical story but a prophetic vision of the church today. Learning Torah, restoring the feasts of the Lord, and relighting the candles of the light in our lives is necessary today.
Ex 27:20 And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.
Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
God desires to relight our flickering lights and make them a shining light to our community.
Shining Bright Together

1 Huge reason for me is it will show me where I am and what I'm dedicated to. It is a time for me to evaluate and look at my outcome. It is important not just some of myself now but throughout the year. I'm a person who just works a lot and I'm dedicated to that but I need to be dedication to something that is joined to flame with Him. Have I put my time and committed to what God wants to lit in. I love what Melissa prayed on Thursday night about we need to be the opposition of darkness. That is why it means a lot to me this season that we're in.

Why do you believe it is necessary to celebrate the Feast of Dedication each year?
After how Bishop brought it out in the message, the history of a people dedicated to God and standing for who He is, His laws, His ways, His purpose and love... that story is not just a "back then" thing. It applies to the right now that we live in. World/Antichrist culture is constantly buffeting, trying to seep in, we need to check our oil, check our lamps & dedication level. Be reminded of what happens when the people of God sell out or give up (only death and destruction) and then see what light the people of God bring when they take a stand.…
Why do you believe it is necessary to celebrate the Feast of Dedication each year?
The Feast of Dedication is necessary because it reminds us that faith must be actively guarded, restored, and rededicated in every generation. The feast marks a moment when darkness attempted to extinguish God’s light through compromise, fear, and suppression of worship. Celebrating it annually is not about tradition for tradition’s sake, but about remembering that God’s people are called to resist spiritual erosion and boldly reclaim what belongs to Him.
What was your greatest “Aha” moment in the message?
My greatest “Aha” moment was recognizing how intentionally Jesus revealed Himself as the Light during the Feast of Dedication, a celebration centered on restoring light after desecration.…
Why do you believe it is necessary to celebrate the Feast of Dedication each year?
Focus is focus. When our attention is given to one thing and that one thing is God. His character and his ways the evidence of dedication is seen in our lives. Throughout the year our focus will be on many different things. The reminder of this season in a dark time to focus on what the real light is. It is a great reminder to place our attention, our worship and our focus upon God. Because it's guaranteed that throughout the year other things have had our focus and attention. The reset of this time is good; it places him in a position in…
Why do you believe it is necessary to celebrate the Feast of Dedication each year? It's important because we live in a world where an opportunity for compromise comes nearly every day, words are spoken t and around us constantly. We do not live in a bubble and so things that are not of God will try and influence us and get on and in us. We need to be reminded of the fight it takes to stay pure. The fight to hold onto the Word of God, to stay in relationship with Him, and to not compromise. We need to see each year the areas maybe we have let grow dim or the light even blown out and allow…
