In Genesis we learn about Enoch and how he walked with God. One of the unique things was that he was the seventh generation from Adam and Adam was still alive for over 200 years while Enoch was. Adam being the original one who walked with God he very well could have taught Enoch how to as well. In this message we reset our mindset and perspective of God, hell and the process of being saved.
The phrase that I brought out was punishment avoidance versus relationship pursuance. God desires to be much more than just saving us from hell. His original plan was to walk with us in the cool of the day and to spend time with us. Redemption was his plan from the beginning as we jump into the story where Peter and Jesus are in the garden Peter’s sword is used and Jesus brings healing to the wounded man's ear. Just as Jesus undid the destruction that Peter caused and that man's life. Jesus has undone the destruction that sin produces in our life. Peter in the same night denied Jesus.
Our walk with God has high points and low points and walking in the being with God is when we really get to know him. Peter went on to bring healing and miracles to people's lives and his walk with God continued after Jesus had left. Jesus came to restore life, he defeated death, he rose that we might have life. Let's walk with God and pursue a relationship with him that he has sacrificed and paid for that we might have.
How did opening up the time and life spans help you to better trust and have confidence in what Moses was able to write down?
How Does Peter bring you encouragement on your walk with God?
Were you able to reset your perspective? From your early on saved from hell mindset and step into a new relationship pursuit?
How did the word come alive to you?
How did opening up the time and life spans help you to better trust and have confidence in what Moses was able to write down?
I love facts like this about the Word & History. I don't want to get in the ditch with knowledge for just knowledge sake, but it certainly bolsters trust and confidence. For me connects the Word more to the history of our world that God made and is not separate from, these aren't just stories, etc. The line can be traced to now.
How Does Peter bring you encouragement on your walk with God?
It brings encouragement to me as well as how Bishop brought out Moses's imperfect history and how he was still used…
What a great word Pastor Aaron! And definitely agree continuation from last week.
1-I definitely found it fascinating! Me I love watching the shows that have who do you think you are and you go by your ancestry and the generation that you're in. But with this is truly amazing! I've never even thought of their timelines passing in being intertwined with the other one. Knowing that your testimony and how they pulled through things made it throughout that history.
2- how God can use anything to demonstrate and perform a miracle. Find a very humbling though that he like Sherri said he walked with God and he saw him literally with him. But yet he messed up and truly…
How did opening up the time and life spans help you to better trust and have confidence in what Moses was able to write down?
-I can have confidence in their messages-one reason because they shared - the good, the bad, and the ugly about themselves. By them not only walking with the Father but them walking in their own flesh---if they had let their own story be told, I'm sure they would've shared a better picture of themselves (especially Adam and Eve - there were no other humans to be witnesses to there fall - so why tell everyone)... But they wanted/needed the next generations to see and know the only Real Life is walking with God.
How Does…
What an awesome message Pastor Aaron! I listened to it several times and it got better each time!
How did the opening up the time and life spans help you to better trust and have confidence in what Moses was able to write down? This was absolutely amazing! I already believed but this just put that tool in my belt to tell someone else who doubts that the story is real or thinks it got distorted over time. Often times I don't think about the importance of one generation telling the next so that the story does not get lost and this brought it right to the forefront and caused me to see just how important it really is!
How…
Outstanding message Pastor Aaron! There were so many nuggets contained in this message which I continued to bring out in a conversation with someone here in Florida! Your message continued to be preached long after the service was over! Kind of like Adam's conversation with Enoch but not as much time elapsed.. (LOL)
How did opening up the time and life spans help you to better trust and have confidence in what Moses was able to write down?
Oral history was and still is extremely important today. Moses had the amazing opportunity to hear and then write down the Torah from those who lived it. WOW! What really stood out to me from this was the fact that those th…
