Risen Living, Restoring Life

In Genesis we learn about Enoch and how he walked with God. One of the unique things was that he was the seventh generation from Adam and Adam was still alive for over 200 years while Enoch was.  Adam being the original one who walked with God he very well could have taught Enoch how to as well. In this message we reset our mindset and perspective of God, hell and the process of being saved.

The phrase that I brought out was punishment avoidance versus relationship pursuance. God desires to be much more than just saving us from hell. His original plan was to walk with us in the cool of the day and to spend time with us. Redemption was his plan from the beginning as we jump into the story where Peter and Jesus are in the garden Peter’s sword is used and Jesus brings healing to the wounded man's ear. Just as Jesus undid the destruction that Peter caused and that man's life. Jesus has undone the destruction that sin produces in our life. Peter in the same night denied Jesus.

Our walk with God has high points and low points and walking in the being with God is when we really get to know him. Peter went on to bring healing and miracles to people's lives and his walk with God continued after Jesus had left. Jesus came to restore life, he defeated death, he rose that we might have life.  Let's walk with God and pursue a relationship with him that he has sacrificed and paid for that we might have.

How did opening up the time and life spans help you to better trust and have confidence in what Moses was able to write down?

How Does Peter bring you encouragement on your walk with God?

Were you able to reset your perspective?   From your early on saved from hell mindset and step into a new relationship pursuit?

How did the word come alive to you?
