Seeing Through Fear’s Image

In Isaiah 41:10, God says, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Fear is one of the enemy’s most effective tools to keep us from moving forward.
In the book of Numbers, we read about the twelve spies sent to scout out the Promised Land. Caleb returned with a faith-filled report, declaring, “We are well able to take the land.”
But—Who is your "we"?
The other spies gave a very different report. They said, “We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes.” In their view, God was not part of the equation.

The enemy will often distort our perspective, making the opposition seem larger than life. Fear magnifies problems and minimizes God. It convinces us that retreat is wisdom when in fact it’s disobedience.
I heard the phrase,
“Fear masquerading as wisdom.”
That’s exactly what the ten spies embodied. They thought it was wise not to pursue the land—because they believed they couldn’t succeed.
But when God is included in our perspective, everything changes. With Him, we are well able.
1 John tells us that perfect love casts out fear. When we are filled with the love of God, fear no longer has room to control us. It’s like a cup filled with air—once you pour in water, the air is pushed out. God’s love fills the empty spaces and drives out fear.
So let’s discuss:
Who is your "we"?
What fear is God helping you adjust your perspective on?
What was the Word of God that came alive to you?
