The Battle Before the Promise

The 50-day journey from Passover to Pentecost taught the children of Israel many things needed for them to become a Kingdom of Priests.
They were being taught to trust God in everything. They experienced six miracles in this journey.
The parting of the Red Sea, The Bitter waters made sweet, daily manna, quail, and water out of a rock. After all of this, the people still complained to Moses and wished they were back in their old lifestyle.
At this point in the journey, they were only days away from the promise of them becoming all that God had called them to be. And now comes a battle, an intensified battle against the leadership, and the weak stragglers at the back of the crowd.
BAM has been on this 50-day journey and is almost to the place of becoming who God has called us to be. It comes as no surprise that we would experience a battle keeping us from completing our journey.
We found that the enemy may be using the same battle each year at this time. Maybe it's a "mass" in our mind, will, emotions that need clearing, cleaning, and repairing to be prepared to receive the promise.
QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION:
What battle does the enemy use each year on you, causing you to stop short of the promise?
What "mass" between your ears do you realize needs to be removed?
What was your greatest "aha" moment in the message?
Looking forward to our discussion,
In His Service,
Bishop Bill

What battle does the enemy use each year on you, causing you to stop short of the promise?
Fear If I get close to people. To pour my heart out and then they quit saying no to God. The loss of their friendship and the investment into their lives is gone and that risk is fear of loss or abandonment.
What "mass" between your ears do you realize needs to be removed?
Fear of success and then once the responsibility of success the fear of not being able to take care of those that are looking to me for direction from God.
What was your greatest "aha" moment in the message?
The devil is a customized attacker who creates a…
What battle does the enemy use each year on you, causing you to stop short of the promise? The attitude off well, "Let's wait and see." NO! "Let's wait and expect!" It always feels like this state of limbo. Between the Now and the Not yet if you will.
What "mass" between your ears do you realize needs to be removed?
Well, this year I realized a "mass" of fear has been growing for sometime. I'm not sure how long, probably for longer than I have known. It became obvious to me this year. Fear is paralyzing and paralyzing is worse than limbo! It needs to be removed!
What was your greatest "aha" moment in the message?
Without a manifestation…
What battle does the enemy use each year on you, causing you to stop short of the promise? The battle that always seems to come is the battle to just give up and walk away. Going back to the 5000 seems to be a good idea. Just go back to attending church when I want and have no responsibilities in the church.
What "mass" between your ears do you realize needs to be removed? The mass that says that there’s no one out in the world that really wants to hear about God and do what he says to do. The mass that sees the bad in people not the good in them.
What was your greatest "aha" moment in…
1.What battle does the enemy use each year on you, causing you to stop short of the promise?
Self. Emotional and mental traps that always boil down to my attention is back on “me” and not seeing as God sees, nor seeing the purpose He’s laid out.
2.What "mass" between your ears do you realize needs to be removed?
Emotional mass (hurt, unforgiveness, pride, jealousy, comparison) which then lends itself to a thinking mass, and then the two just feed off one another.
3.What was your greatest "aha" moment in the message?
If you do not have a manifestation to prayer it is either not faith or the wrong prayer.
Previously I would have thought strictly that I didn’t “get”…
What battle does the enemy use each year on you, causing you to stop short of the promise?
A lie that a "changed me" is good enough. Allowing doubt to settle in when I can't clearly 100% see the whole path forward rather than walk with God step by step. Like Elder Christy said, whatever puts the focus back on myself gets me knotted up and stopped short of the promise.
What "mass" between your ears do you realize needs to be removed?
It's plain that it is doubt and procrastination. One leads to the other. Because of doubt I procrastinate, because of procrastination (missing the window) I doubt.
That mass has stopped compassion from flowing. There is a window…
