Can You Dig It?

In Genesis 26, Isaac reopened the wells his father Abraham had dug—wells that had been stopped up because they were unattended. These weren’t just physical wells; they were symbols of of life, legacy, conflict, and covenant.

The Bible says Isaac "dug again." Are you willing to dig again? To dig through disappointment, conflict, and dry seasons to find what God has already placed beneath the surface?
Digging requires faith.
Isaac didn’t see water—but he dug anyway. Why? Because he trusted God’s promise.
Digging brings opposition.
Every well Isaac dug was met with resistance. But he didn’t stop—he kept going until he reached Rehoboth, the place where God said "Now I will make room for you and your land will be fruitful."
Digging leads to encounter.
Once the wells were dug, God appeared. Worship followed the work. The same is true for us—when we dig deeper in faith, prayer, worship and the Word, we create space for God to meet us. Like the Samaritan woman, the well was a place of encounter with Jesus where He gave her the living water that would cause her to never thirst again.
And here’s the most powerful truth: You were made to be a well. Out of your life should flow living water—hope, strength, wisdom, and grace.
So let me ask again: Can you dig it? Can you trust that what you need isn’t gone—it’s just buried?
It’s time to dig again. Rehoboth is coming!
Let us discuss:
What are the wells (plural) that you are digging or re-digging in your life and ministry?
What will cause you to keep digging when opposition comes, because it will, you must anticipate it so you are ready.
How will you become a well for others?
What were some key takeaways that changed your life?
Thank you for your time and grace as we re-dig together wells that God has promised us in your ministry through BAM International. I love, love, love all of you! You are gifts in my life that I am thankful for.
