Can You Dig It?

In Genesis 26, Isaac reopened the wells his father Abraham had dug—wells that had been stopped up because they were unattended. These weren’t just physical wells; they were symbols of of life, legacy, conflict, and covenant.

The Bible says Isaac "dug again." Are you willing to dig again? To dig through disappointment, conflict, and dry seasons to find what God has already placed beneath the surface?
Digging requires faith.
Isaac didn’t see water—but he dug anyway. Why? Because he trusted God’s promise.
Digging brings opposition.
Every well Isaac dug was met with resistance. But he didn’t stop—he kept going until he reached Rehoboth, the place where God said "Now I will make room for you and your land will be fruitful."
Digging leads to encounter.
Once the wells were dug, God appeared. Worship followed the work. The same is true for us—when we dig deeper in faith, prayer, worship and the Word, we create space for God to meet us. Like the Samaritan woman, the well was a place of encounter with Jesus where He gave her the living water that would cause her to never thirst again.
And here’s the most powerful truth: You were made to be a well. Out of your life should flow living water—hope, strength, wisdom, and grace.
So let me ask again: Can you dig it? Can you trust that what you need isn’t gone—it’s just buried?
It’s time to dig again. Rehoboth is coming!
Let us discuss:
What are the wells (plural) that you are digging or re-digging in your life and ministry?
What will cause you to keep digging when opposition comes, because it will, you must anticipate it so you are ready.
How will you become a well for others?
What were some key takeaways that changed your life?
Thank you for your time and grace as we re-dig together wells that God has promised us in your ministry through BAM International. I love, love, love all of you! You are gifts in my life that I am thankful for.
About My Father's Business,
Rekv. Connie

What are the wells (plural) that you are digging or re-digging in your life and ministry? The wells that I am re-digging are the wells of intimacy with the Father and health in my body. Re-digging those will allow me to dig others that need to be dug.
What will cause you to keep digging when opposition comes, because it will, you must anticipate it, so you are ready. What will keep me digging when opposition comes is determination. Knowing that what I do does not only affect me but affects others. Knowing that others (unsaved) are watching me and my walk.
How will you become a well for others? I will become a well for others by continuing to dig. Continuing to pursue God when it doesn’t make sense in…

Wells I’m digging or re-digging include:
Prayer & intimacy with God: After seasons of spiritual dryness or distraction, I’m re-digging a well of consistent communion with God. Not performance-based prayer, but relationship-based prayer.
Calling & Purpose: Reconnecting with original callings and assignments I may have put on pause due to discouragement or delay. Writing and leading through creative means that have often been stifled by fear, perfectionism, or exhaustion. It’s time to uncover even more so that it flows freely
Community Engagement: Re-digging the well of authentic, spirit-led community, especially among the unchurched or those who feel forgotten. Creating space where people can…

It is well to stand up and live a life that is pleasing under God.
It is well to welcome the spirit of Almighty God into all aspects of my life. Ministry, work and home.
Taking a stand against the opposition of anti-Christ is a worthwhile cause.
What will cause you to keep digging when opposition comes, because it will, you must anticipate it so you are ready.
A mindset change of standing against the pressure or opposition like trying to walk upstream. That image. Reimagined as I am in the flow that comes from the river of God that source of life. Therefore…

The meaning of Elizabeth is "God is my oath". The well that Abraham dug from the covenant with Abimelech was in a place that he named "Beersheba" which means "well of the oath". I knew the meaning of Elizabethtown, but Rev Ryan made this profound connection after the message on Sunday.
So, what well am I re-digging? Beersheba in Elizabethtown, the "well of the oath" in the town of "God is my oath", or "the well of the town who has an oath with God". This well absolutely has to be re-dug to bring life to this city again. This city is…
