Expand, Connect, Hear, and Conceive

The year 5786 has officially begun! God has spoken His message through signs, symbols, scripture, and prophetic revelation. He used the Death Valley phenomenon to reveal that though the land seemed barren and desolate, a hidden seedbed was simply waiting for the right season, RAIN. God reassured us that our land is not dead—it is dormant. Dormancy is not the end. There is something more, opportunities that lie just beneath the surface, so it can’t be seen presently but it is there!

The letter VAV carries profound meaning and symbolism. The letter looks like a hook, and its pictograph associated with it is a nail. In ancient Hebrew script, Vav looked like a peg or a tent stake. It represented something that connects or fastens things together. In Hebrew grammar, Vav is often used as the conjunction “and.” The conjunction “and” signals continuation—it’s a bridge, not a stop. It represents addition, connection, and expansion—not finality. It means there’s more to come!
“Enlarge the site (borders) of your tent, stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, do not hold back. Lengthen your ropes and drive your stakes in deep.” Isaiah 54:2
Expansion means making room for more. In the natural when we get a bigger house or build an addition, we fill it. In my Father’s business, His expansion means you fill it with more souls, more opportunities, and more Kingdom influence. Expansion requires divine connection, and Vav reminds us that when we are linked to Him, His plans will be established in our lives.
And how will it be filled? By responding to His fresh call to become fishers of men. Souls are the real inheritance that will occupy the enlarged territory.
The Lord also gave an emphasis on “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
To be still means more than silence. It means relax, cease striving, hush, stay, and let go of your concerns. Not only do we have to BE STILL, there’s the conjunction AND. We also have to KNOW .. become intimate and conceive. In stillness, you don’t just acknowledge God—the AND KNOW requires conception. Let the seed of His Word conceive. When we let go, He makes room. When we conceive His Word, He enlarges us.
We were reminded that we are in the decade of Pey (80), which emphasizes the mouth, vocalization, and speech. Rev. Connie expressed that the mouth has taken on momentum in that the words that are spoken will begin to form realities. The scripture says that life and death are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall it the fruit of it. (Proverbs 18:21) It’s time to decree and declare! Decree means to order, appoint, or command in alignment with Heaven’s will. Declare means to make known, to proclaim, to set forth what God has already spoken. When we decree and declare His Word, earth is hooked with Heaven and realities begin to manifest AND His Kingdom advances.
We must hear His voice. The benefit is for us, He shows or tells us what’s to come, and also for others. The scripture says, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27) When we speak His voice His sheep will hear and follow, thus the need for expansion.
Remember, 1 Corinthians 14:10 says “there are many voices and none of them without significance.” Every voice has a purpose and we can simplify the purpose of the voice by recognizing its direction. Every voice either brings people closer to God or takes them further away.
In summary, God is giving us lots of opportunities to “enlarge and expand.” He is giving us new methods for conveying the same message. He is giving a fresh call to become fishers of men. Let us secure new territory that will advance His Kingdom, form new community connections and partnerships, speak life through decrees and declarations, and enlarge our passion for souls.
I apologize for the length of this blog! Ugh! It was tough! 🙄 Let's Connect! 😉
- Think of an area in your life that seems barren or delayed. How can you reimagine it as “dormant” rather than “dead”? What “rain” will cause a super bloom and what would you want it to look like after the rain?
- Reflect on your recent words. Which words have built life and expansion, and which words may have unintentionally limited growth? Write a decree that aligns your words with Heaven’s will.
- Who are the loudest voices influencing you right now? Do they draw you closer to God or pull you further away? How can you tune your ear more clearly to His voice?
- How can recognizing the “and” moments in life help us embrace expansion instead of fear change?

Connection with people. They are becoming willing to talk about more than just business and I'm able to hear the divine instruction and answer from God that would help them in the things that seem impossible in their life.

Think of an area in your life that seems barren or delayed. How can you reimagine it as “dormant” rather than “dead”? What “rain” will cause a super bloom and what would you want it to look like after the rain? Being a “Fisher of Men”—this is something that had been prophesied over me twice and I know that it cannot be in my flesh that this happens. It absolutely requires the anointing of God and His voice speaking to the lost sheep. I have been striving and it…
