During this message God was asking us if we have "Made Him Lord" over our whole life. What does that look like?
It is all about surrendering every aspect of our life to Him. I mentioned a few aspects of our life, family, religion, business, arts and entertainment, government, education, finances, etc...
Question #1 Are there any areas of your life you have not made Him Lord in? Is there anything that you are trying to hold on to for yourself? Or, have you made Him Lord over your life, if so, what fruit do you see that He is Lord?
In Matthew 7:21, Jesus is saying not everyone that cries, "Lord, Lord," shall enter into heaven. Only those who do the will of the Father will enter. So, there is a difference between really making Him Lord, and doing good things in His name.
Question #2 What category do you find yourself in, calling Him "Lord, Lord," or really making Him Lord?
Matthew 7:13, "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is he way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and DIFFICULT is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."
Question #3 Why is the gate narrow, and why is making Him Lord difficult?
We also discussed 2 Kings 15:17 - Chapter 21. There were many stories about kings who did evil, ones who only made God Lord over parts of their lives, and finally king Hezekiah, who chose to make God Lord over His whole life. The part that stood out to me, is it only took one to make God Lord to turn around a nation. Because Hezekiah chose to make God Lord, the enemy came to steal, kill and destroy. However, when we stand firm putting our trust in the Word of the Lord through the Prophet and leadership, the enemy will be overturned.
Question #4 Just for the fact that we are aware of the tactics, what WAYS does the enemy come to steal, kill, and destroy? Because if we are aware, there won't be any sneak attacks of the enemy.
John 15:1-8 Abiding in the vine.
Question #5 Do you see the season we are in? Do you see the importance of it? Have you been seeing the progression of the last few services preparing us for this time, so we are not cut off? What steps have you been taking so you are not one of the ones who does not bear fruit?
Question, #6, If you are one that is bearing fruit, and others see it, and someone asks you, "How do I change, how do I repent, what does that life look like?," do you know how to answer that? Is there fruit in your life that they will be able to taste and see that the Lord is good?
Last Question #7, What was your "aha" moment during the message?
Thank you for your time to post to these questions. It truly is a pleasure being able to serve the One true God with all of you, as we continue to make Him Lord over our lives.
Great message Pastor Riley and the timeliness of it especially with the messages that have preceded this one!
Question #1 Are there any areas of your life you have not made Him Lord in? Is there anything that you are trying to hold on to for yourself? Or, have you made Him Lord over your life, if so, what fruit do you see that He is Lord? I would love to say He is Lord over all of my life but I think the biggest one I hold on to is TIME! I am on a time schedule all day every day so when I have a gap where something is not on the schedule, my focus tends to become…

I realized over this past weekend that an area of my life that I was still holding onto was my kids- train them up. It shocked me a bit because I hadn't thought that was the case, but then I stopped and took a look at it and went "is this area of my life producing fruit that others would want?" It's a tricky thing: was I doing "good"?...sure, but was it…
What a great "back story!" I enjoyed it! It brought the clarity of how history in many cases repeats itself if there is not an example or a Godly King that will stand and endure life while making Him Lord and steadfast to walk the journey of His course.

It would be silly for me to think that I have "made it" and really consistently made him Lord of my life in…
Question 1 . I believe there are areas of my life that I have not made Him Lord in. My “down time” is the biggest. I will admit that I don’t like working outside my home for that fact that I have to be on someone else’s schedule continually. It leaves me tired physically and mentally, so I don’t want to have to think or do anything. I try to hold on to that time, thinking it will energize me, when really it doesn’t.
Question 2. I find myself in need of “making Him Lord” in different areas of my life. There are some areas that there is not an issue of making Him lord. Others are more difficult to…

Well honestly I hadn't made Him Lord in my life in two areas that I noticed right away 1 would be relationship or the wanting to be in a relationship leading that leads to being married. I have been told that its coming but I always seemed to have to put my hand In it or do it my way and never works out and the other would be what I…
