Tisha B Av (9th of Av) - Will This Day Repeat Itself In Your Life?

Tisha B Av (9th of Av) is a day of mourning for the Jews because many historical calamities happened on this day to the Jewish people. The 12 spies went into the promised land to spy out the land and 10 came back with an evil report and God did not allow them to enter in because of it. The 1st and 2nd temples were destroyed and the following events listed below:

Bar Kokhba Revolt: The crushing of the revolt against the Romans in 135 CE.

Expulsion from England: Jews were expelled from England in 1290.

Expulsion from Spain: Jews were expelled from Spain in 1492.

First Crusade: The start of the First Crusade in 1096, which led to massacres of Jewish communities.

World War I: The outbreak of World War I in 1914 is also linked to Tisha B'Av.

Holocaust: Some associate the Nazis' approval of the "Final Solution" with Tisha B'Av in 1941.

Buenos Aires bombing: The bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires in 1994 is another event sometimes linked to the day.

God asked the question to ALL of us through this message: "Will this day repeat itself in your life?" He was really asking you "are you allowing or going to allow your temple to be destroyed from within, because of your disobedience, or from outside influences, the cares of this life, deceitfulness of riches, and lust of others things because we just do not want to be a Kingdom of Kings and Priests here on earth and evangelize. Only you can answer this question!

Questions to discuss this week. These are deep but true self examination and answers will help you keep your temple from being destroyed and stop history from repeating in your life.

1) What evidence have your brought back to God that you are witnessing in the harvest field He has given you? If none, why not?

2) What was God's reaction to the 10 spies report and the agreement of the congregation with the 10 spies?

3) Why was Joshua and Caleb's report different from the other 10 spies?

4) What is the world's view of the "slothful Christian" according to Proverbs 24:30-34?

5) If the Apostle Paul asked You the question "Know ye not that you are the temple of God?" what would be your answer to him.

6) What were some "aha" nuggets from this message that you are letting become life in your life?
