Experience Versus Opinion

Matthew 7:7-12 Seek and you shall find.

God is a creative God and he's not limited by the past.

Possibly we have had an experience and that experience hinders us from the current thing that God wants to do.

Matthew 7:13-14 Narrow is the way and it is difficult to lay aside the experience that you have had.

Isaiah 43:19 "Behold I am doing a new thing." The coming of Jesus to earth is the new thing Isaiah's prophetic words point to.

God is doing a new thing all around us. God is breaking down strongholds, transforming dark places into light places, and making hardened hearts into soft ones.

John 21:1-12 The disciples were fishing all night and caught nothing yet Jesus said cast on the other side. That was a new experience.

Matthew 9:17 Old and new wine skin.

You can't fit what God wants to do today into the old wineskin. New wine is put into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.

We can apply this to all the areas of our life. Healing prosperity decisions and choices witnessing

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

My opinion will not change someone else's experiences.

For them to be able to see the kingdom of God they have to experience something different.

For me to really truly believe and walk in faith I have to have a different experience than I've had.

If you're struggling in an area then in this season let's seek a new experience.

We're celebrating the feast once again so we can’t let previous experiences dictate how we approach and view this moment.

So we have to seek this new experience of what God wants to do in our life that we might be able to live and walk in faith and have a new experience to share with others.

I also want to have the path to new experiences for their life. Showing them this is how you overcome the past experience.

If we can for a moment set aside the past experience and pursue a new experience then we can walk through that reset of our thinking and step into faith.

We can say I believe God about this because we know it's the right answer but if our past experience is affecting what we're believing for then our past will dictate our future.

That's what the blood of Jesus is for. It is to wash away the past so that we can be born again new and able to experience God.

1. What experience have you had that has caused you to know God is real?

2. What experience have you had that has caused you to pursue him to know him more?

3. What was the word that came to life for you?

What experience have you had that has caused you to know God is real? One of my most cherished experiences that caused me to know that God is real is when I first was saved. Feeling the presence of God in such a tangible way was amazing. The warmth and love that came into that room with just God and me can never be matched. It still makes me shed tears to this day as I sit here crying while typing as I remember that experience.

What experience have you had that has caused you to pursue Him to know Him more? Like many, when life is hard, that seems to be the time when I have pursued Him the…

1. What experience have you had that has caused you to know God is real?

An experience I go back to often is an instance of miraculous healing. I’d injured my foot, it was a bit infected, it would have been simple enough to just do what I know to do in the natural to take care of it, and because that’s how God designed my body to work it would have healed with time. But I was heart broken because the pain made it near impossible to dance. I remember just knowing that I needed to dance in praise and worship to Him. I did, and within that day my foot way totally healed. It is an experience that…

Amanda, I love your testimony of the miraculous healing because of this reminder we need that you stated beautifully, "It is an experience that reminds me that His love and His care and His goodness reaches even to our desires and passions, and when you give to Him those things first the rest falls in line." It reminds me of how Rev. Connie brought out about the Feast of Trumpets this weekend and it being for us--yes, we want to bring people and should; yes we are still all about people getting saved. yet, God cares for us too. He doesn't dismiss us and no longer care about the passions, as you said, we have. He knows how He created…

Great message Pastor Aaron as we approach the Feast of Trumpets to once and for all really have a new experience of crowing Him King!

1. What experience have you had that has caused you to know God is real? The recent experience of souls being harvested right before my eyes and now walking with them as a new disciple in the Lord. This got very real for me a new experience. I have experienced leading someone to the Lord but they have gone somewhere else but one individual has not left. 2. What experience have you had that has caused you to pursue him to know him more?

Harvesting souls has caused me to pursue the Lord not onl…

The new experience of soul harvesting is what we all want Rev. Ryan and desire to be able to come back to over and over. I'm so thankful that you are there and are seeing the fruit of the labor you have put into the harvest field and people's lives are being changed!

Fantastic message Ps. Aaron!

1. What experience have you had that has caused you to know God is real?

I have had many over the years but there is one that I always come back to and has truly been an anchor (as Ps. Aaron said) any time things had gotten really tough and it felt like God was no where to be found. It's a long story so I won't tell it all; I will just say it was many years ago while I was kneeling on my living room floor crying out to the Lord and found myself in the throne room. I could see myself kneeling there in white linen garments and could see the feet of Jesus…

Loved your post Elder Christy... Thank you for sharing about the throne room experience. AMEN! Life changing experiences we want others to have as well!

What a great statement about your "knowing God is real moment" == " Any time a lie of oh maybe God isn't real would try to come from the enemy, I immediately think of that experience and the lie is squashed in a moment. I cannot un-believe because of it." Amen..

Agreeing with you in this statement "Ps. Aaron made a statement, "We can go from "no" to a new experience with one cast". This lit up for me. God wants our new experience to be catching fish not just fishing without results--been there done…
