This message is not a new message. It's not a heavy revy or any such like it. God is simply, once again, telling us to Let the Word Become Life in Our life--He just says it again with another message. His word is absolute--it's unchanging and He wrote it in His own hand as a sure sign of that.
Matthew 4:17, "From that time on Jesus began to preach, Repent for the Kingdom of heaven is near" Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness being tempted of the devil and He came out in the power of the Spirit. From then on He was looking for anyone who would repent and believe so that He could make the Kingdom available to them in that moment. He healed many people, He cast out devils and at one point was accused of casting out Satan by Satan. He cleared this up with the understanding that a kingdom divided cannot stand. He went on to say, Luke 11:20, "But if I cast out demons by the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you." When Jesus brought the authority and power of God (His kingdom) to the man who had a mute demon--Satan's kingdom was overthrown in that man's life immediately and he had to leave. Jesus showed what Kingdom Living looked like everywhere He went. He was completely submitted with total obedience and absolutely humble before the Father and the Father made Him King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He showed what it looked like to love the Father with all His heart, soul, mind and strength and to love His neighbor as Himself. These are the first two commandments and all the commandments really hang on these two. Can we do the same?
Do we believe we can truly love God with all we are and love our neighbor as our self so much that we want to make the Kingdom available for them each day? It all starts with believing and then putting action, called obedience, to it. We then must be born of the Spirit, as Ps. Aaron so powerfully brought forth last week. Without Kingdom Vision we won't se what it really looks like for Kingdom Living. God knows what He has called us--He desires that not only would we experience the kingdom of God coming upon us when we are healed, or delivered, or saved but that Kingdom Living would be our way of life every day, just as it was for Jesus. There are years and years of messages (the word of God) preached that God has been telling us what Kingdom Living looks like--today was simply a shortened reminder but worth discussing....
1. As Bishop has said many times, When you make Jesus Lord, the war is over. Is the war over--has Jesus really become your Lord?
2. Do you really believe that you CAN love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and your neighbor as yourself? If so, what action will you put to it.
3. Lastly, what did God speak directly to you through the message that helped you in your life today?
Thank you for giving your time to the Lord and caring about the others on this blog as we glean from one another and grow.
His Servant,
Elder Christy
Rev. Ryan. thank you for your post! We all need to read it more than once as this is what will start to happen more and more for each of our lives as we love God and love people as you have demonstrated with your life. Yes, each our harvest fields are different but God will open more and more doors to minister to people as with our faithful to love the ones in our harvest fields now.
I appreciate your whole post but I especially appreciate, "The struggle is not His Lordship anymore. For me it is really seeing what God wants me to see beyond my mind, will, and emotions of the situation, aka people, that are in…
1. As Bishop has said many times, When you make Jesus Lord, the war is over. Is the war over--has Jesus really become your Lord? How’s it go “Lord of all or not at all”? Do I continuously come across things in my life where I find that I have been lord over that particular thing and not Him? Absolutely! But do I continue on that way? In times past, I’d have to be real honest and say that I simply said “no, I don’t want to give up my hold on this”. But praise God for the born again experience! The daily opportunity to be born again. The choice. The opportunity to choose to make Him Lord in those areas…
1. As Bishop has said may times. When you make Jesus Lord, the war is over. Is the war over—has Jesus really become your Lord? I would love to say yes, He is in everything. Unfortunately, there are still areas where there is struggle. It is that daily battle to be “born again” and submit to His lordship in everything.
2. Do you really believe that you CAN love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and your neighbor as yourself? Yes, when I have allowed and made Jesus lord over it. Some people are easier to love than others that is for sure. When someone just doesn’t know any better it seems easier to forgive an…
1. As Bishop has said many times, When you make Jesus Lord, the war is over. Is the war over--has Jesus really become your Lord?
At the altar previously, I’d been told and confirmed that I have made Him Lord, but the process (for me at least) is a bit messy. Messy in the middle. That mess and struggles made me question and ask, well did I make Him Lord? Though, like Rev Ryan said, still a daily choice to die and be humble and submit. There can still be battles to face even when the war as a whole has been decided. I’d rather face those battles submitted to the Lord of Lords, being on His side than without…
1. As Bishop has said many times, when you make Jesus Lord, the war is over. Is the war over--has Jesus really become your Lord? I would love to say yes but the truth is no, there's still war in my mind over things that should be settled already. There are areas in my life where He is Lord but there alot more areas where He is not.
2. Do you really believe that you CAN love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and your neighbor as yourself? If so, what action will you put to it. Yes, I believe that I can love God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. I can love some of my…
