A Life That Inspires

  • Mar 10
  • 2 min read

A life in pursuit of God inspiring others, giving hope that they too can pursue God and experience all that he has for their life.

Zacchaeus wasn't really liked by the people around him but he wanted to know Jesus.  He didn't want a selfie, he wanted to get to know him and that caught Jesus's attention.  And so Jesus went to Zacchaeus's house and of course that made all the religious people mad.

But apparently they didn't want to get to know Jesus.

Philip was used by God to translate someone who was searching for the truth from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light.  God also translated him over 60 miles after he was obedient to help someone he was on the top of the list to help lead someone else to God as well.

I See The Son of God
I See The Son of God

The friends of Daniel had such a relationship with God that even when in a foreign land without their parents they stood up and would not worship a false God this caused Nebuchadnezzar and all who were around to see God.

I hope that we are able to pursue God and have the evidence in our life of what a relationship with God produces to such an extent that others would ask how do I pursue God like that.

What is a new way that you can pursue God on a more real level?

How did you hear the seeking God just for the things that he can do as opposed to just seeking him?

What experience do you pray happens in your life as a result of your pursuit of God?

What is a new way that you can pursue God on a more real level?

I think something that really stood out to me in this message was revisiting the faith of Daniel's friends. When talking about them being thrown into the fiery furnace, Pastor Aaron said, "This is not the moment that you start pursuing God, that's a little late, because if that is when you begin to pursue God, you're bowing." How many "Christians" today are bowing to the world daily and maybe even going to bow to the antichrist one day?

In our town and community, my heart goes out to those that want to pursue God but they don't know where to turn, the "sheep without…

Great Post Hunter! Rev Ryan already touched on everything but I want to bring out one piece that I am full agreement with you on, "There are so many that are unknowingly heading for destruction and this is why we absolutely need to be a priest to someone. To guide them, to love them, and to care for them. May God guide everyone at BAM to someone that is crying out for God so that we may guide them to the truth." This last statement is basically a prayer that I come into agreement with you--let it be done!

What is a new way that you can pursue God on a more real level? It may sound simple but pursuing to know Him and His heart in everyday life. I have seen Him this past week in ways I had not before; however since I have looked to Him in more areas of my life to know Him—I am seeing Him and how much glory He really should be getting. I think about the verse in Proverbs 3:6, “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” That’s how I am pursuing Him more than I ever have—in all my ways. The learning to know Him comes with finding out at times what was not Him…

Elder Christy. I so enjoyed reading your post. Well done!!!!

Powerful statements: "There is nothing wrong with asking our Father for what we need or want (we have not because we ask not comes to mind), it really is the intent of the heart and that is what I see in this. What is the intent of the heart in our approach of God—just looking to get something out of Him or having a relationship with Him." - AMEN, AMEN, and AMEN!

Statements people need to read over and over again:

"It’s easy to want the spectacular and I used to want that to draw attention, but that is not a daily relationship with God. I want people to see…

What is a new way that you can pursue God on a more real level?

For me my pursuit of God is for "Him change me so I can become and be a leader of nations, aka people groups, that will cause the people in the group(s) to encounter/experience deliverance from their Egypt(s), come to know you through the wilderness, and ultimately come to hear your voice and "welcome it" instead of running from it. My pursuit of my relationship has intensified in my pursuit of Him to seek and see His advice for the people I am shepherding but also on how to bring in the lost sheep that has strayed away. Jesus said "my sheep w…

Great post Rev Ryan! I can hear your zeal is your post, which I can definitely appreciate! Everything is so good but there are a couple of statements that just resonate with me as well, "Jesus said "my sheep will hear my voice and no other voice they will follow." My pursuit is I need His voice so the lost sheep will follow my voice back to Him." and  "I want to be used so others can experience an answer to their prayer like the Ethiopian eunuch who need someone to expound on the scriptures because he did not understand.  The Ethiopian was searching the scriptures trying to find God and BAM, God sent Philip to answer that man's prayer. May…
