The Love of The Anointing Constrains Us

2 Cor 5:14 For the love of Christ controls and urges and impels us, because we are of the opinion and conviction that if one died for all, then all died; 15 And He died for all, so that all those who live might live no longer to and for themselves, but to and for Him Who died and was raised again for their sake.

The Apostle is saying not only Jesus, but also the anointing, is what prevents us from living a self-focused life. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

When we are in and under the anointing, we become a new person. Everything we think, say, and do changes.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

There is a subtle deception that has many in the church thinking they are “Saved” or “Born Again” but have not experienced a real change in their life.

QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION:

  1. Why is understanding Christ as the anointing so necessary on our spiritual journey?

  2. How have many misinterpreted the scripture: 'Believe and be baptized, and you will be saved'?

  3. How has the phrase “Understanding What We Already Know” made you confront your own pride?

  4. Did you discover who you are, realizing that wherever you go, there you are?

  5. What was your greatest “aha” moment during the message?

Looking forward to our Discussion.

In His Service,

Bishop Bill
