In second Kings chapter 4 we see the story of the miracle of the oil filling all the vessels that were in the house.
Elisha instructed the woman to gather as many vessels as she could and to shut the door and to pour what she had into the empty vessels.
God is a multiplying God and he works with something that we have. We talked about multiplication and how zero times 100 is still zero. God multiplies but he does need something from us to multiply we see that in the miracle of the bread and the fish and the many times in the New testament where it said that your faith has made you whole. When God finds someone that will work with him he multiplies what they have.
It's like it says in Ephesians he is able to do exceedingly abundantly immeasurably above all that we could ask or think according to the power that works in us.
God wants to expand the limits that we put upon him to work in our life on our behalf.
What type of responses have we had when the question is asked, what do you have?
Is there a moment where you've seen God multiply what you gave him?
How have you expanded your limits?
What part of the word came alive to you?
What a great word Ps Aaron!
1 What do I have to give! There are sometimes I feel like what I have is not good enough. But that goes along with the message of what is your Mantle? Knowing if I give my gift to him he can use it in greater ways that I never could imagine.
2 yes definitely even when it comes to the children grabbing on and grasping to what has been said in class and actually living it. I am definitely seeing that multiply. Even with the youth opening up and knowing that they have their place in ministry. That they have a mantle and them actually wanting to take a hold of that. Also…
What type of responses have we had when the question is asked, what do you have? The responses I have had were what do you think I have!, Which was not the right response because God couldn’t do anything because I was not in a spot to allow God to work.
Is there a moment where you've seen God multiply what you gave him?
Yes there have been moments where God has multiplied my faith normally but time to time God has multiplied my compassion for others.Â
How have you expanded your limits?
Faith times God = Him being able to make the impossible possible.
What part of the word came alive to you?
When you give God nothing to work…
I loved the message! What a blessing! Thank you for your study and preparation Ps. Aaron!
What type of responses have we had when the question is asked, what do you have?
I do not have enough time! Wrong response! I have enough until I want ..... Wrong response! I am looking for the abundantly above all I can imagine or think to experience the freedom of making decisions and not making them because of time or money.
Is there a moment where you've seen God multiply what you gave him?
Yes, I gave Him children and he has multiplied spiritual children. I have been faithful to give and I have never begged for bread.
How have you expanded your…
What type of responses have we had when the question is asked, what do you have?
I guess my responses have been--nothing (key word - have. Will be changing that)
Is there a moment where you've seen God multiply what you gave him?
Our finances- it may still be paycheck to paycheck - - but it's different, I don't know - the word fuller comes to mind. With giving... it's not as tight WOW!
We have never given back to God fully and with the desire we have to give to Him as we do now. LOOKING BACK to when we just said OK Lord this is Yours.. I can see He has been multiplying /stretching it. DOING WHAT ONLY…
Absolutely fantastic message Pastor Aaron!
What type of responses have we had when the question is asked, what do you have? I can honestly say there have been times when I have said, "Nothing"--I really thought I had nothing for God to work with. Then there have been times when I have said, "I only have this but here I am".
Is there a moment where you've seen God multiply what you gave him? YES! Immediately I think about finances and all of the many, many times God has multiplied and made our finances go so much farther than we could ever have caused it to go on our own.
How have you expanded your limits? Well, He sure did…
